ABOUT OUR SPEAKER: Laura Whitley is the Bank of America Merrill Lynch Global Commercial Products executive for Global Commercial Banking. In this role, she leads a team of 3,500 associates who deliver debt, treasury and liquidity solutions to commercial and institutional clients internationally. Whitley has more than 25 years of financial advisory experience holding key leadership positions in Global Corporate and Investment Banking and Global Wealth and Investment Management. Whitley began her career with Bank of America and spent the first decade advising global companies in Europe, Asia and Canada on capital raising, corporate finance and mergers & acquisitions. As Managing Director for Banc of America Securities, she directed the firm's corporate and investment banking activities with multinational clients. Whitley served as president of the Private Bank Central Region for five years then as Commercial Banking executive for the Central Region leading the delivery of Bank of American capabilities to high net worth clients, middle market companies and institutions in that region. Prior to her current role, she served as the president of Business Banking. Whitley earned a bachelor's degree in Finance from Texas Tech University College of Business in 1983. She is a NASD Registered Principal with Series 7, 24, 63 and 66 securities licenses. She has been featured in U.S. News & World Report, Working Woman and Parenting magazines for her dedication to work and family solutions. Whitley has been recognized as one of the 25 "Most Influential Business Women", one of the "Top 40 Under 40", a leader in the capital markets arena and in "Who's Who in Banking & Finance."
