Rawls Finance Professor's Study Highlighted in Wall Street Journal
The Rawls College of Business Administration's I. Wylie and Elizabeth Briscoe Chair in Finance, Jeff Mercer, recently had his co-authored study entitled “Is Now the Time to Add Commodities?” published and highlighted in several journals, websites, and newspapers.
The AAII Journal recently published an excerpt of Dr. Mercer's co-authored study. The American Association of Individual Investors (AAII) is a nonprofit organization that provides educational tools to help individual investors build wealth. The well-respected consumer magazine on investing and wealth management reaches approximately 175,000 individual investors in the United States. Dr. Mercer's work will also be published in the Journal of Investing, a quarterly publication offering research in global investment and finance.
The Wall Street Journal also highlighted Dr. Mercer's study in an article, as did Reuters.com, an international business and financial news organization.
The Research Foundation of CFA Institute recently commissioned Dr. Mercer and his co-author, Gerald Jensen, to complete a research bibliography on the topic of commodities investing. CFA Institute is a global, not-for-profit organization comprised of the world's largest association of investment professionals holding the prestigious Chartered Financial Analyst designation. The work is to be published soon and will be distributed to over 90,000 CFA charterholders who are investment managers and investment analysts around the world.
