The Helen DeVitt Jones Excellence in Graduate Teaching Awards honors a Texas Tech University graduate part-time instructor annually for their excellence in teaching and exceptional scholarly activity. The graduate student can be from any area within Texas Tech, but must be pursuing either a master or doctoral degree. The student must also have been a graduate part-time instructor during the academic year that they are being nominated, have 18 hours of teaching responsibilities, and have full responsibility for the classes they teach.
