The Rawls Business Leadership Program, which is designed to provide students with real-world knowledge and experiences to excel in leadership roles, held its first luncheon of 2014 to discuss the upcoming goals for the semester. At the event, Dr. Mayukh Dass, an Associate Professor of Marketing at the Rawls College of Business and faculty lead for the program, spoke with the 26 students - 14 upperclassmen and 12 freshmen - involved with the program about their recent successes and how this semester will produce great things.

Throughout the semester, the Rawls Business Leadership Program will work with three businesses under the guidance of three Rawls faculty service learning coordinators: Dr. Jeffrey Burkhardt and his team are working with Lubbock Impact/TTUHSC Free Clinic; Dr. Juan Manuel Sanchez and his students are helping X-Fab; and Dr. Dennis Arnett's group of students are assisting the Texas Tech Club.

The Rawls Business Leadership Program will also visit Brazil and Argentina in May to perform study-abroad service learning projects and visit companies such as Shell, Peugeot and KPMG.

The program is now accepting applications, and the deadline to apply is Feb. 14. To find out more information about the Rawls Business Leadership Program or to apply, please visit rawlsleaders.ba.ttu.edu or contact Dr. Mayukh Dass at 806-834-1924 or email rawls.leadership@ttu.edu.
