Area of Marketing doctoral student Xinchun Wang was recently selected to participate at the 2014 Product Development and Management Association Doctoral Consortium. At the Consortium, Wang will be honored as a Doctoral Student Fellow.
The Consortium, which takes place at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) from Friday, July 18 through Sunday, July 20, 2014, allows students to meet and exchange ideas with leading innovation scholars and executives in an intimate setting. The Consortium will bring together about 50 participants (faculty, doctoral students, and executives) in a highly-interactive program in the heart of Chicago.
The Consortium is devoted to the developmental needs of doctoral students conducting dissertation research on innovation and new product development. Selection for participation was competitive, and the program committee conducted a detailed review process, in which multiple faculty reviewers evaluated each applicant file. At the event, doctoral students will also compete for up to $5,000 in dissertation research grants. This supports the efforts outlined in the Rawls College of Business Strategic Plan.
