Dean Nail recently traveled to St. Thomas High School in Houston to congratulate incoming freshman Graham Quinn on his induction into the Rawls Business Leadership Program.

During the visit, St. Thomas wrote an article featuring Dean Nail and Quinn.

Quinn `14 Accepted Into Select Texas Tech Leadership Program

Graham Quinn '14 had decided months ago he was attending Texas Tech in the fall.

But the depth of opportunities available to him became more wide-ranging after he was recently admitted into the University's select Rawls Business Leadership Program.

Dean Lance Nail delivered the decision personally during Quinn's Economic / Government class.

"I had a suspicion when I saw him walk in," Quinn said. "When I was looking at Tech along with some other schools, I visited campus and met with Dean Nail. He really sold me not just on the school but also this program specifically. It was the combination that sealed my decision, so this is really exciting."

The Leadership Program is only in its second year. The objective is to provide the proper setting and tools essential for individual leadership growth in an ever-changing and challenging marketplace and society.

"We feel part of our mission at the Rawls College and Texas Tech is to recognize the complete student," Nail said. "Sometimes there's an over emphasis on test scores and GPAs and not on the person. This program is a way to look at both."
