Rawls Recognized as a Top 5 Graduate Business School by College Atlas
By: Trevor Bell
The Rawls College of Business was recently ranked as the third-best graduate business school nationally, according to the College Atlas "A-List: Best Business Schools 2015" rankings.
The A-List rankings focus heavily on each graduate school's MBA program. Specifically, rankings are compiled based on an algorithm that assesses affordability (in-state and out-of-state tuition costs), accessibility (acceptance rate and enrollment) and academic quality (GMAT scores and job placement statistics); which results in a list that highlights schools with the best academic and economic value to its students. Dean Lance Nail detailed how the rankings play a pivotal role in accomplishing the college's strategic goals and showcase the quality of education that graduate students receive at the Rawls College.
"We are delighted by this recognition from College Atlas as it reflects the commitment of the Rawls faculty and staff to delivering a high-quality MBA program at an affordable cost to our students," Dean Nail said. "The recognition also confirms that our college's decision to restructure the program with greater academic rigor and professionalism is what recruiters truly want."
Associate Dean of Graduate Programs and Research Dr. William Pasewark also remarked how the restructuring has made the Rawls College both competitive and highly esteemed nationally.
"The MBA program at Texas Tech has changed significantly in the past two years, and the effects of those changes are starting to show in various polls. This ranking includes Texas Tech with an outstanding group of universities," Dr. Pasewark said.
