Jerry Hunt Posthumously Honored with Lifetime Achievement Award

Dr. Jerry Hunt, former Paul Whitfield Horn Professor in the Area of Management and founding director of the Institute for Leadership Research, was posthumously honored with the 2014 Lifetime Achievement Award by the International Leadership Association's (ILA) Leadership Legacy Project. During the reception, Dr. Hunt's widow, Donna Hunt, and his two children accepted the award on his behalf.
Dr. Bill Gardner, Area Coordinator for the Area of Management and current director of the Institute of Leadership Research, also attended the event. Dr. Gardner chaired a panel, titled "The Leadership Scholarship Legacy of Jerry Hunt," where friends and colleagues paid tribute to Dr. Hunt's many contributions to the field by sharing stories of the how he impacted their careers and the field. Other members of the panel included Mary Uhl-Bien (Management, Entrepreneurship, and Leadership, Texas Christian University) and Kevin B. Lowe (Graduate School of Management, University of Aukland).
The ILA selects individuals for this award based on their significant and diverse contributions to the field of leadership. Since 2008, twenty internationally renowned thinkers have been inducted into the project.
