Nikki Bohannon, unit coordinator for the Area of Management, was awarded the Chancellor's Colonel Rowan Award for Execution due to her exemplary performance and dedication to student success.

A major contributor to her receiving the award was Nikki's role in leading the college's initiative to expand curriculum which will enable students to obtain a concentration in Human Resource Management and obtain certification from the Society of Human Resource Management. This designation will dramatically enhance students' skills and marketability. Nikki did extensive research to identify the necessary skills students must acquire for SHRM certification and developed initial proposals for new courses to be offered to provide students with these skills.

Before arriving at the Rawls College in January 2009, Nikki received both her bachelor's degree and MBA in Business Management from St. Edward's University. She possesses a Texas Mortgage Broker's license and has been a partner in a mortgage finance company since 2000. Additionally, she holds a Group 1 Insurance License, and specializes in the inception of Mortgage and Life Protection policies.
