Rawls students Sagar Parikh and Maggie McCormick were each honored with the Outstanding Senior Award by President's Select, an organization of student ambassadors which serves Texas Tech through the Office of the President, Office of Admissions and Texas Tech Athletics.

Each year, one graduating senior, who has been a part of President's Select since freshman year, is honored with the award. This year, however, the selection committee unanimously honored both Sagar, a Finance major and Public Relations minor, and Maggie, an International Business and Marketing major and Spanish minor, due to their commitment and accomplishments in each of the three departments. In total, 34 seniors in President's Select were considered for the award.

President's Select members conduct regular campus tours and attend admissions, athletics and presidential events. Members also hold leadership roles throughout the campus including student government, Greek fraternities and sororities, and professional and academic organizations. Additionally, the organization fosters relationships with all university publics, including prospective students, special guests, and alumni.
