The Rawls College's MBA programs were ranked as a Top 10 Best Value MBA Program in 2015, according to new rankings released by Value Colleges. The rankings, which solely focused on AACSB-accredited business schools in the U.S., were determined by overall cost, national ranking, and average starting salary for graduates.
"The Rawls College is committed to delivering high-quality graduate business programs with faculty thought leaders at an affordable cost to our students," Dean Lance A. Nail said. "Given our increased placement rates and starting salaries for graduate students, our students know that they are making a positive investment in their future by joining the Rawls College's graduate programs."
The Rawls College's MBA programs are designed to give students a more in-depth understanding of the business world, and prepare them for successful careers as leaders, managers, executives, and innovators in their chosen field. Students who obtain an MBA from the Rawls College gain advanced skills and knowledge in core business fields, develop an awareness and sensitivity to ethical issues in business, and acquire an increased understanding of international and cross-cultural business environments.
Rawls College graduates with an MBA - either an MBA for Working Professionals or an MBA with an emphasis in Health Organization Management - in December 2014 had a placement rate of 92.3 percent. The Rawls College also implemented a new STEM MBA program which is designed specifically for students with an undergraduate degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics discipline. Students in the STEM MBA program's first cohort are set to graduate at the Spring 2015 Commencement.
"Our primary goal has always been to deliver first-class education to hard working students. The affordability of our programs is a very welcome by-product. Our wonderful facilities and abundant scholarships are made possible by donations from alumni and friends that enthusiastically support the programs we offer," said Bill Pasewark, Associate Dean of Graduate Programs and Research.
Recent national rankings have featured the Rawls College as a 2015 Best Business Program by U.S. News and World Report, a 2015 Best for Vets Business School by Military Times, as well as a 2014 Best Business B-Schools by Bloomberg Businessweek. In addition to the MBA programs offered, the Rawls College has several Master of Science programs, doctoral programs, and graduate and professional certifications, all of which provide students the skills needed to be successful leaders in business.
