The Real Estate Organization (REO) traveled to Austin last week to gain real-world insight into the real estate industry and meet with current industry leaders. Throughout this three-day trip, 17 finance students, along with Professors Paul Goebel and Jared Harrell, networked with CEOs, presidents, and vice presidents of various real estate firms throughout Austin and its surrounding areas. Topics of the visits included demographic analysis, negotiations, property tax, development, lending, property management, and the current mortgage climate.
