Congratulations to Dr. Mike Shaub for being awarded the 2016 Ernst & Young Teaching Excellence Award. Established in 2008 by the Ernst & Young Teaching Excellence Fund, the award annually recognizes accounting faculty with extraordinary accomplishments in teaching effectiveness, innovation, curriculum development and student service. Professional Program in Accounting (PPA) students nominate accounting faculty members who are then considered by a committee. Having been awarded the Ernst & Young Teaching Excellence Award in 2008, Dr. Shaub has become the first person to receive the honor twice.

After receiving his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting at the University of Texas, Dr. Shaub continued his studies at Texas Tech University, earning a Master of Science in Accounting in 1983 and a Ph.D. in Accounting in 1989. Since 2006, he has been with Texas A&M University as a Clinical Professor of Accounting.
