The Rawls College proudly welcomes Ed Krei as the speaker for the 44th Annual School of Banking kick-off reception on Sunday, Aug. 13 at the Overton Hotel and Conference Center. Before retiring from The Baker Group as a managing director, he specialized in investment portfolio services, asset liability management, and financial strategies for community based financial institutions.
The School of Banking, which was established in 1973, provides future leaders in the financial services industry with the skills, tools, and perspective necessary to advance their careers and help their banks prosper. Graduates of the two-year school have up-to-date knowledge of all major areas of banking and a strong start on the life-long learning needed for successful banking careers. Many leaders in the banking industry today in the southwestern part of the country are proud alumni of the Texas Tech School of Banking. More About Ed Krei
A frequent speaker at banking and investment conferences, Ed has spoken for the FFIEC, FDIC, Federal Reserve Board of Governors, the OCC, the Conference of State Bank Supervisors, and Federal Home Loan Banks. He has served as faculty member of several graduate banking schools.
Ed received a BBA with honors in accounting from the University of Mississippi and was a gold medalist on the CPA examination in Tennessee. He has served on the boards and committees of numerous civic and charitable organizations including Junior Achievement, OKC Community Foundation, Arthritis Foundation, Leadership OKC, Allied Arts Foundation, Goodwill Industries, and Rotary Club #29.This supports the efforts outlined in the Rawls College of Business Strategic Plan.
