What do you love about the Rawls College of Business?
The Rawls College is a place filled with people who dedicate their lives to helping students succeed here and beyond. Coming from a small town, I did not want to be lost in the crowd and the faculty and staff makes every student welcome. Even though Tech is a large university, the college still holds the values of helping any and all who come through this campus.
Why did you decide to be a Rawls ambassador?
My freshman mentor and many of the people I looked up to around the college were members of this distinguished organization. I wanted to give back to the Rawls in any way I could and giving my services to an idea of excellence that the Rawls Ambassadors and the college uphold was a great opportunity.
Do you have any advice for new students coming into the Rawls College of Business?
Jump in head first. Get uncomfortable. This is a college filled with opportunities for everyone. We all come from different places, but each of our stories ended up at Texas Tech--ready for the next step in our lives. Don't hold back; make the most of every moment. This supports the efforts outlined in the Rawls College of Business Strategic Plan.
