Rawls Parents Council

Established in 2021, the Rawls Parents Council provides an opportunity for parents of current business students to serve as ambassadors, while helping to strengthen connections between families and Rawls College. Participating in the Rawls Parents Council is a unique way to support your student during their undergraduate experience by fostering communication and building relationships.

Rawls Parents Council members make a meaningful impact on Rawls College and our students. Your involvement as a member includes:

Acting as a liaison between parents and the college

Providing information and insight to parents of current and prospective students

Speaking and serving as a resource at college events

Studying issues and providing guidance to the dean and college leadership

Contributing to the Rawls Parents Council newsletter

Assisting with undergraduate and graduate recruitment by making phone calls, sending postcards, and attending/hosting events

Rawls College has an excellent team of academic advisors. Your student should reach out to their advisor and schedule an appointment.

Yes, in the 2020-2021 academic year we awarded over $1.5 million in scholarships.

How can my student secure internships? Will my student get a job after graduation?

The Rawls Career Management Center (CMC) can guide your student through the entire hiring process. The CMC offers resume workshops, mock interviews, career fairs, and even etiquette dinners. Your student should become involved with the CMC as early as possible in their academic career.

Does Rawls College offer opportunities to study abroad?

Yes, Rawls College encourages students to study abroad as it provides insight into other cultures and valuable learning opportunities. Whether your student wants to study in Rome, Norway, Ireland, or one of the many other available locations, the Center for Global Engagement will help your student find the perfect fit.
