About

Surya B Yadav is a professor of information systems in the Rawls College of Business, Texas Tech University. He got his PhD in information systems from Georgia State University, Atlanta, Georgia. He served as the ISQS department head for nine years. He held the James and Elizabeth Sowell Professorship in Telecom Technology for 18 years. He was a visiting scientist at Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh. He was a research faculty at Sandia Lab. He has worked as a consultant for several companies including IBM Technical Education. He has an extensive background in software development.

His research interests include the modeling and simulation of resilient cyber physical systems and the role of information systems in the origin of life. He has published articles in those research areas and others like intelligent information systems, process of research investigations in Artificial Intelligence, systems analysis methodology, system security, and fraud detection. He has supervised fifteen PhD dissertations.

His primary teaching interest includes systems analysis and design, database systems, and research methodologies in management Information system. His other teaching interests are cyber system security and risk assessment and object-oriented programming languages.
