About
Professor Fried received his PhD from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Prior to joining Texas Tech University at 2015, he was a professor at Wayne State University (1985-2004) and Syracuse University (2004-2015). His research focus is on the contribution of context in the areas of work stress, job and office design, motivation, performance appraisal, diversity and cross-culture. His work has appeared in leading journals in the field (5* and 5 Journals), including the Academy of Management Review, Journal of Applied Psychology, Personnel Psychology, Journal of Management, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes (OBHDP), Journal of Organizational Behavior, Journal of Occupational and Organizational Psychology, Journal of Occupational Health Psychology, Journal of Vocational Behavior and Human Relations. His work has been very well cited in the literature, and he has been nominated and appointed as a fellow in the prestigious American Psychological Association, Society of Industrial and Organizational Psychology and the Society of Organizational Behavior.
