About
Jeremy Richardson is an accounting PhD candidate in the Rawls College of Business
at Texas Tech University. His primary research interests involve using experimental
and qualitative methods to examine auditor judgment and decision making.
Prior to enrolling in the PhD program at Texas Tech, Jeremy worked as the director
of finance for the South Carolina Public Charter School District and as an auditor
at the public accounting firm of Elliott Davis. Jeremy earned a master’s degree in
accounting from the College of Charleston and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from
Furman University. He is a licensed CPA in the state of South Carolina. Jeremy is
an AICPA Minority Doctoral Fellow and served as President for the PhD Project Accounting
Doctoral Student Association for 2022 -2023.
