Dr. Williams is from a small town in northern California that is nestled amongst towering redwoods on the Pacific Ocean. He earned his B.A. in Economics from Emory University and Ph.D. in Economics from Texas Tech University. Dr. Williams generally works in the fields of environmental and resource economics and the application of discrete choice methods.
Research Interests
Areas of interest include the water-energy nexus, valuing environmental attributes, and understanding how consumers respond to eco-labeling. Dr. Williams believes that the study of Economics should be simultaneously fascinating and rigorous, utilizing experiments and in-class activities to demonstrate the value of economic reasoning.Excellence in Cotton & Natural Fibers Research Network
