Professor Named Fellow by the Society of Automotive Engineers

 

James Yang, an associate professor, associate chairman and director of undergraduate studies in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, a Fellow of the Society of Automotive Engineers International. The award, which is the highest grade of membership for the society, recognizes members who have made significant contributions to mobility technology.

Yang uses physics-based models to design and build ergonomic solutions for vehicles and workplaces. He also serves as an editor for more than seven professional publications and has received faculty awards for research and teaching.
