Advancing Infrastructure Resilience – mastering extremes in complex environments

During this workshop, experts and practitioners from academia, applied research, private, and public sectors will not only exchange concepts and applications in infrastructure resilience, but also identify joint research opportunities for German-US research teams.

Texas Tech University Department of Civil, Environmental & Construction Engineering USA
in collaboration with
Fraunhofer Institute for High-Speed Dynamics Ernst-Mach-Institut, EMI, Germany
This workshop will focus on advancing infrastructure resilience in regard to natural hazards. Academia and government sectors both have the opportunity to learn and share knowledge while overcoming challenges and implementing innovation. Alexandros Taflanidis from the University of Notre Dame will be the guest speaker. His research focuses on community resilience in regard to natural disaster.
Participants will be engaged via TED-style talks, expert panels, and World Cafe style activities.
