Director of Research Facilities
David Dorsett serves as the Director of Research Facilities for the Office of Research & Innovation. In this role, David manages the research facilities that are under the OR&I administration, including the Experimental Sciences Building and East Loop Research Building. David also serves as the OR&I representative on various committees such as the TTU Space Allocation Committee and is currently involved with the design and construction of the new Experimental Sciences II building.
David came to work for Texas Tech in 2005 during the latter phase of construction of the Experimental Sciences Building and has seen it through various renovations. Most recently, David was the OR&I representative for the design and construction of the Innovation Hub at Research Park building, and continues to be heavily involved with the building operations. He frequently participates in building tours and events at the OR&I facilities to promote the research programs at TTU.
David graduated cum laude from Lubbock Christian University with a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management in 2001. His favorite activities are spending time with his wife and daughter, traveling, fishing and playing music.
