Online Course FAQs

When does my online course have to be completed by?

For new students enrolled for summer or fall admission, this course must be completed no later than September 30th of that year. Spring admission will have a deadline of February 29th. Any student required to take this course, but fails to do so by these dates, will receive a hold on their account. 

What is Think About It?

Think About It is an online, evidence-based, interactive course designed to engage learners in various wellness topics while encouraging thoughtful decision making. This course takes a deeper dive into one's health, with the mission of creating a more informed, educated, and safer campus community. Topics include: 

  • Healthy interpersonal relationships
  • Alcohol and other drug use
  • Consent and sexual assault
  • Violence prevention 
  • Bystander intervention

This course also connects students with valuable resources, both locally and nationally. 

Who is required to complete Think About It?

ALL incoming students (first year and transfer students, including distance learners) must complete this course in its entirety during their first semester of enrollment. 

How do students complete this program?

Students can log-in to the courses via an e-mail they receive to their TTU inbox or may click here. Students will utilize their eraider username and password to sign in.

How long does it take to complete Think About It?

Think About It typically takes 1.5-2 hours. 

What happens if a student does not complete this course by the due date?

If the required program is not completed within the time frame specified above, a hold will be placed on each student account.

Why does TTU require students to complete Think About It?

These programs are evidenced based, are an effective way to reach the entire incoming student population, and fulfill federal and state mandates for prevention education surrounding Title IX, VAWA, and Campus SaVE.

The course is not loading properly/there is an IT issue. What do I do?

What happens after completion of the course?

Upon completing the course, a completion record will be established in the database. Prior to exiting the course, learners will have the ability to download a completion certificate for their records.

If I receive a hold, how do I get it removed and how long will it take?

First, you must fully complete Think About It. Next, your hold will be removed within 2 university business days. There is no need to contact the RISE office, unless you have finished the course and your hold has not been removed within 2 university business days. 

Will survey answers be private?

The course includes surveys to help personalize the experience and measure students' attitudes and behaviors. All survey responses are anonymous. The RISE Office will receive statistics about the student body as a whole, but will not be able to link answers to individual students. A student may opt out of answering these questions by selecting the option on drop down menus stating so.
