Internship Program Admissions

The Texas Tech University Student Counseling Center Doctoral Internship offers training in individual, couples, and group therapy; providing clinical supervision; developing and providing outreach; and psychological assessment. We offer a number of optional rotations allowing interns to get more focused training in areas of interest. We provide a supportive atmosphere of professionals who are enthusiastic about training and supervision. We believe it is important for interns to develop awareness and reflection about themselves, their identities, and their experiences as these aspects impact who they are as psychologists.

  • APA-accredited Clinical or Counseling Psychology program
  • At least one semester of university counseling center experience
  • Comps passed by ranking deadline
  • Dissertation proposal approved by ranking deadline
  • Have received video or live supervision
  • Will have at least 4 years of graduate training before internship
