Kiana Diaz is currently a junior dual degree student who will be graduating with a BA in Political Science and a BBA in Finance in the Spring of 2024. She graduated from C.C. Winn High School in Eagle Pass, Texas in 2020.

Outside of Student Government, Kiana is apart of different organizations around campus. She currently serves as the President-Elect for the Hispanic Student Society here at Texas Tech, which aims to promote Hispanic/Latin culture amongst the student body population. Kiana will take over as President for HSS during the 2023-2024 academic year and hopes to continue increasing representation and awareness for the Hispanic/Latin student body.

She is also apart of President's Select, the official ambassadors for Texas Tech University, where she gives tours to prospective students, helps with undergraduate admission events, events hosted by the President's office and more. After graduation, she will pursue to get her Master's in Business Administration (MBA) and to go to law school to get her J.D.

Why They Chose Texas Tech

Kiana choose Texas Tech for her undergraduate career after attending a debate camp the university hosted in the summer of her junior year. During this camp, she felt Texas Tech provided her with a sense of home while having the degree programs she wished to pursue.
