Our optional on-campus Raiderland Experience program offers the perfect opportunity for Admitted Students to learn more about Texas Tech. Students who attend will have the chance to tour the campus, visit the residence halls, talk with campus representatives and hear what current Tech students are saying about life on campus.
This one-day program is offered multiple times throughout the summer.
Raiderland Experience does not replace the Advising & Registration that is mandatory for all new students. You will register for Raiderland Experience separately from RRO Advising & Registration.
When is Raiderland Experience?
RRO Advising & Registration sessions will be on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and Raiderland Experience will be offered on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. We recommend selecting a Raiderland Experience date AFTER your Advising & Registration date.
Who can attend?
Registration space will be limited in accordance with CDC and state/local guidelines. All students must be registered in advance. Guests may attend, but please be aware that due to space limitations in some sessions, there may be times when only one guest will be allowed. Please register all guests, so we may plan accordingly. Walk-in's and guests who are not registered in advance cannot be guaranteed participation.
Parent & Family Relations will provide orientation programming for families as well as recommendations for activities/experiences families can select to participate, more information can be found here: go.ttu.edu/parentrro
How is Raiderland Experience different than a campus tour or Admitted Student Day?
Raiderland Experience is a different opportunity than the campus tours or Admitted Student Days.
We are still working out all the details, but at Raiderland Experience, your student will get to "experience" life at TTU, from small group meeting with current and other incoming students to activities at the Rec Center to exploring campus life.
Raiderland Experience will be similar to many of the experiences that take place at an in-person RRO, minus the academic advising & class registration, which will now happen virtually.
Your patience is appreciated as we work through multiple layers of implementing a safe on-campus experience for incoming students and their guests. We look forward to creating a positive and supportive experience for you in your transition to Texas Tech University.
Stay safe and Wreck Em!
