Before You Begin
RRO will be a busy time, so it's important to plan ahead for the program.
Once you have registered for your RRO session, here are a few things to do before you come to orientation:
Check your TTU Email
Almost all of the official communication from Texas Tech will be sent to your TTU email address (including information about RRO from your academic advisor).
You should begin regularly checking your TechMail to make sure you don't miss important information and reminders.
To enable your TechMail, go to the eRaider website, login with your eRaider username and password, click on "Email Services", and review or modify your information.
You can check your TechMail by visiting www.outlook.com and logging in with your TTU Email address and eRaider password.
Admitted Student Tasklist
The Admitted Student Tasklist is the official "Checklist" for admitted students. The Tasklist is designed to be a one-stop shop for admitted students to take care of (and keep track of) the things you need to do prior to enrolling at Texas Tech University. Log in today to start taking care of:
- And much more
Get Ready to Register for Classes
Through the Admitted Student Tasklist, you can also find out about items that could impact your class registration at Red Raider Orientation, like:
Visual Schedule Builder
Visual Schedule Builder (VSB) is an online self-serve tool to assist you in planning your academic schedules. It allows you to graphically view schedule options, choose desired courses, and eventually create a timetable based on the courses and times that work best for you. The VSB arranges selected courses into conflict-free timetable options and displays them in an easy-to-read weekly schedule.
Watch this video to learn more about VSB.
- The VSB does NOT register you in courses, but helps you create an optimal course schedule from which you can then enroll in courses through Raiderlink.
- The Visual Schedule Builder is NOT meant to replace academic advising or degree audit. It does not check your course prerequisites or registration holds.
- You will meet with your advisor and register for classes during your scheduled RRO session. This information is provided to help you prepare for advising and registration during your RRO sesssion.
