Vlogger Intern Application Information

 

Vloggers

The Transition and Engagement vloggers work together and independently to create vlogs for the Transition & Engagement YouTube channel

Job Description

  • Develop engaging content about events both on and off campus and life as a student at Texas Tech
  • Work with our social media team to promote the videos you create on our social media channels
  • Participate in weekly planning meetings with the vlogging team
  • Meet monthly with our social media marketing team to generate new and creative ideas
  • Create at least one individual vlogs per month (prompts will be given, or you can create your own)
  • Work with the T&E vlogging team to produce two team vlogs per month
  • Attend campus events (some evenings and weekends) to create vlog content
  • Create at least one (1) TikTok per week for the T&E TikTok account
  • Work approximately 8-10 hours per week in an office setting

Application Requirements

In addition to a resume, all vlogger applicants are expected to submit the following:

1. Sample Vlog

Submit a 3 minute video about one aspect of life at Texas Tech that you think might appeal to incoming or current Texas Tech students. You will upload your video to YouTube and submit the link below.  Topics can include (but are not limited to - be creative!):

  • Tips for surviving your first semester
  • Things every student should know about Texas Tech
  • Your Texas Tech bucket list
  • Or anything else you want to talk about! 

2. Sample TikTok

Vloggers will also help create content for the T&E TikTok account. Upload one original TikTok (or Instagram reel) video. The topic can be anything related to Texas Tech, Lubbock, or college student life.
