Meet Joey

Hey guys! My name is Joey Chavez. I am from Allen, TX, and am in my first year at Texas Tech. My major is Management and while I have many aspirations, my main goal is to own a bakery and coffee shop! 

I am absolutely loving my time here at Tech! I have made so many good friends, started volunteering at the Lubbock Animal Shelter, participated in United We Read, and found so many fun places to explore.

After I obtain my business degree, I plan on attending The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York to get a degree in Baking and Pastry Arts. If I could offer one bit of advice, just do it! Join the club, say hi to that kid who sits next to you every class, apply for that job, just get involved. I promise it's worth it!
