Meet Merveille

My name is Merveille Kazadi. I am From Congo but livingd in Chicago prior to coming to Texas Tech. I transferred from Parkland Community College in Fall 2020. I am pursuing my bachelor's in Biochemistry with a minor in Public Health and hope to attend medical school to become a general surgeon. When I am not studying, I love playing soccer, hanging out with friends, and cooking different dishes. I am very happy to be part of the Transfer Connection program and hope to help incoming transfer students so they have a  smooth transition.

As a pre-med student, I spend most of my time outside of school shadowing physicians to gain experience. I am part of several organization on campus.  MAPS(Multicultural Association of Pre-Medical Scholars), AMSA(American Medical Student Association), Chi Alpha( Campus Ministry) and Biochemical Society.

My proudest moment as a Red Raider was when I  attended my first Texas Tech basketball games. I witnessed the Texas Tech community getting together and cheering on their team to victory, Singing the Texas Tech Fight Song. That really made me feel proud to be part of the Texas Tech University family.
