Meet Ndeye amy

My name is Ndeye Amy Thioune. I am From Senegal, West Africa. I love helping others as much as I can and I am excited to be a transfer ambassador at Texas Tech.

Aside from being a Transfer Ambassador and helping incoming transfer students in their transition, I am part of phi Theta Kappa which a honors society that gives students opportunities to develop professional and leadership skills. Another organization I am involved in is Intellichoice which is a a non profit where I volunteer to teach young students skills and knowledge about Mathematics. Lastly, I am involved in Women Initiative network which is a network to empower and support female students in creating strong academic foundation upon which to build lifelong success.

My proudest moment at Texas Tech is the moment I got accepted to Texas Tech University and got a scholarship based on academics. My education is important to me and receiving a scholarship was very helpful in me achieving my goals.
