Meet Jasjot

What's up everyone! My name is Jasjot Bahia and I am from Modesto, California. I am a chemical engineering major with a minor in bioengineering. Some fun activities I like to do include playing sports/hitting the gym, watching anime, and trying new foods. Fun fact about me is I've been a vegetarian my whole life and have never tried meat.

During my time at Texas Tech, I have been a part of three clubs: Transfer Techsans, the Ultimate Frisbee Club team, and AICHE. Transfer Techsans is an organization that is meant for transfer student only and is a great club to join to make a lot of new friends. Most of my friends are from Transfer Techsans. The Ultimate Frisbee Club team is another club where we compete other universities and try to have fun and win. For this club we travel to a lot of different campuses, and I get to explore other parts of Texas. AICHE is the chemical engineering club that has been helping me out a lot. I can always go to them to talk about which classes I should take and who to take it with. They also introduce me to many companies so I can get my name out there in the work force. And on top of all that, I get to make even more friends and connections.

If I could go back in time, to when I first transferred to TTU, I would tell myself to get involved in different clubs and meet more people. I was way too focused on classes and burnt myself out and didn't experience Texas Tech to its fullest.
