Meet JimmyHey- I am Jimmy! I am a cheerful, tenacious, and optimistic person by nature. I love being active and involved with school, it helps tremendously with my personal growth and I have had many opportunities to meet new people and build up new connections. Texas Tech has given me so much, not just with academic and career opportunities, but it has given me close friends and a whole new family as well.
I am a member of the Transfer Techsans organization where we do various activities such as professional development events, community service, social events, etc. In the past we went hiking at Palo Duro canyon. That was by far one of our most popular events to date. We hiked on the lighthouse trail and after we got back to our campsite, we made hot dogs and burgers and we all had the time of our lives. Its times like this that really brought me such close and wonderful friends and what has made Texas Tech my home away from home.
After I earn my bachelors degree in psychology, I will be switching to psychiatry and head off to medical school. During such time I will be studying and working hard to one day complete and earn my M.D in psychiatry. Once I am a full-fledged psychiatrist, I want to work for the F.B.I as a special agent. I want to make a difference and help people on a broader scale and with my empathy combined with my determination, I know I will achieve my goals and lead a fulfilling life making a difference in others lives.
