TC COVID-19 Statement:

Dear TECHniques Center Students, Tutors, and Parents,

The TECHniques Center staff, in collaboration with Student Disability Services, would like to make sure that all students and tutors in our program are aware of the (COVID 19) virus situation on the TTU campus and the contingency plan moving forward on how the TECHniques Center will continue to provide its program and services in the coming weeks. Please remember that this is a very fluid situation and can change quickly, so be sure and check your email frequently for the latest updates on campus operations and our plan moving forward!

Due to the university's efforts to ensure campus health and safety in limiting the transmission of the (COVID 19) virus, courses offered on campus will be cancelled for the week of March 23rd – March 27th and will migrate to online classes beginning March 30th through the end of the semester.

The TECHniques Center has a plan in place to provide continuous services for students who receive Academic Counseling and tutoring through the TECHniques Center and for our employed tutors who work with these students. Previously scheduled tutoring and Academic Counseling sessions will resume at their normal times beginning Monday, March 30. Step-by-step guides, including software recommendations, guidelines and FAQs, have been emailed to all Spring 2020 TECHniques Center participants and tutors. We encourage students and tutors to read through these documents carefully and use the week of March 23 - 27 to update operating systems and web browsers, download appropriate software (all free to Tech students), test links, try out resources listed, and troubleshoot any issues. Please reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns!

We also want you to know that we are doing our very best to provide consistent, quality services during this new and unexpected transition and that all Academic Counselors will continue to be available by email to answer your questions during this time. Please give us a call at (806) 742-1822, emailtechniques.center@ttu.edu, or contact your individual Academic Counselor with any questions you may have.

In addition, we continue to welcome questions, inquiries, and applications from prospective students and their families who want to know about the TECHniques Center or are interested in using it in a future semester. Please contact us with any questions at techniques.center@ttu.edu.

We know this is a challenging time with a lot of unknowns, but we are here to support you and are doing our best to ensure we can provide the best services we can. Do not hesitate to contact the TECHniques Center for any questions you may have during this time.

Thank you!

Sincerely,

Larry K. Phillippe, Ed.D. P.A.
