This year, my twelfth chairing this School, has been one of our best, and that’s due to the fact that we never stop growing; in fact, one of the reasons I love my position at TTU is that I am fortunate enough to lead the best theatre and dance faculty imaginable.
How is it already December?!? This semester has simply flown by. This academic year has been jam-packed – renovations in the dance building over the summer; writing our accreditation self-study in preparation for our visit; auditions for our dance productions and rehearsals; recruiting trips and hosting our fall College Day; our NASD site visit during our performances of Fall Dance Festival; a guest artist residency with dance professional and Lubbock-native, Jamy Meek; and moving into finals week.
Heather Hollingsworth's journey through Texas Tech University School of Theatre and Dance and her subsequent career is a testament to her passion for the arts, resilience, and dedication to the craft. From her time studying under Mr. Ronald Schulz to her current projects, Heather's story is one of artistic exploration, overcoming challenges, and giving back to the community.
