How Fortunate We Are

As we end the spring semester, the School of Dance at Texas Tech is cognizant of just how fortunate we are. After finishing our season with Frontier Fest, featuring original plays and choreography, we are proud to have (safely) shared our new theatre spaces this year with audiences who care deeply about supporting the arts.

Jesse Jou at Work

As part of his creative research agenda, Assistant Professor of Directing (and Associate Director of the School) Jesse Jou spent the spring semester directing three notable projects in New York City and Seattle, while maintaining his teaching and service responsibilities at Texas Tech. His productions garnered attention in school districts and in the press.

"Pa’lante!" Beyond Tech and into the Professional World

"Pa’lante" is a Spanish slang word meaning “forward.” The School of Theatre and Dance does a great job connecting students to pre-professional and professional organizations and opportunities through faculty and staff’s professional networks during their time at TTU.
