Matt began serving as Lead Administrator for the STEM Teaching, Engagement & Pedagogy (STEP) Program as well as the Presentation and Communication Effectiveness (PACE) Program in December 2020.  Matt is also an Instructor for the undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Wind Energy program where he has served since 2012.  When not teaching or working in the TLPDC, Matt is also involved in Texas Tech's Collegiate Wind Competition Team, Techsan Wind, where he serves as Principal Investigator (PI) and faculty advisor.  Additionally, Matt is co-author of The Essentials of Statistical Modeling, a textbook used inWE 2310: Methods of Resource Characterization at TTU.  Matt is also a 2016 graduate of the Texas Tech President's Leadership Institute.

Matt is a multiple time Red Raider, holding a Bachelor (2007), a Master of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with areas in Wind Energy, Industrial Engineering, and Education (2012), and a Master of Business Administration (2016).  Currently, Matt is pursuing a Ph.D. in Wind Science and Engineering. 

Matt and his wife Kymberli are parents to two amazing children who keep them both very busy!  Matt loves dad jokes, Texas Tech sports, and his four (yes, four) cats.
