Volunteer with the URC
Help make the 2020 Undergraduate Research Conference a huge success by serving as a volunteer! Each year the conference runs on the hard work and dedication of individuals who volunteer. Conference volunteers will receive opportunities to network with fellow researchers, students, faculty, & staff throughout the conference.
To serve as a volunteer simply complete the volunteer registration form. We request volunteers commit to a minimum of two volunteer hours throughout the week. Once you submit the form, you will be entered in the volunteer database and will receive an email approximately 2-3 weeks prior to the conference with important details. Volunteering is open to anyone associated with TTU/TTU HSC; additionally, if you are faculty, staff, or a graduate student, please consider serving as a reviewer. You can register to be a reviewer.
Help participants with questions about campus and the local area. Assist attendees with general questions regarding the conference schedule, abstract book, and other miscellaneous assistance as needed.
Registration and Check-in
Volunteers will assist with helping pre-registered attendees pick-up their conference related material such as name badge, program book, conference bag, and other conference related materials. Line management assistance may be required as well.
TrUE will need other volunteers to perform special projects throughout the conference. Specific duties are yet to be determined. If interested in volunteering in this category, you will be placed where the greatest need is at the time block you specified. Volunteers in this category should check in to get their volunteer assignment.
Serve as liaison between presenters, volunteers, and TrUE staff to quickly troubleshoot any questions or concerns from presenters, prior to the session and get the appropriate people involved. This volunteer position will be on radio for quick communication
