How TTAP Billing Works
As a TTAP student, you have two bills, one from South Plains College and one from Texas Tech University. The SPC bill includes tuition and fees for 12-credit hours. The TTU bill includes tuition for the 1-hour TTAP 1101 course, housing, meal plans, and parking. TTAP students also pay fees that allow access to TTU resources such as the Learning Center for tutoring, student health services such as the Wellness Center, the Recreation Center, the Student Counseling Center, wi-fi access, and the library, just to name a few.
You will send all financial aid documents, including FAFSA, to South Plains College. All financial aid will be dispersed through SPC. When applying for financial aid, you should select SPC as your awarding school, because as a TTAP student, you are a full-time SPC student. The school code, if needed, is 003611. Since SPC is your primary school, all financial aid will be processed and disbursed at SPC. Financial aid cannot be awarded to two different schools, so please avoid seeking financial aid through Texas Tech University because this can create a significant delay in awarding and disbursing your student loans.
TTAP students typically will use their SPC financial aid refund to pay their TTU bill. You can enroll in a payment plan at TTU while you wait for your SPC financial aid refund to be dispersed. You can read more about TTU payment plans on the SBS website. Paying the TTU bill will be discussed in detail at the TTAP orientation. If you have questions about billing and financial aid for either or both colleges, please contact them.
