HIGH ART 1B / Print

Builds on knowledge and skills acquired in ART 1A. Covers 3D art, including design communications, printmaking, sculpture, macrame, and forms. Explores art's history, present application, and its "future in the new millennium." Encourages students to consider art as a valuable discipline in a variety of real-world situations and careers. Requires students to venture into the world and examine art "at work." Access to the Internet, a public library, a museum, and an individual in an art-related industry are also required. Students will be required to purchase a number of art supplies (see list). Note: Due to the nature of the lesson assignments for this course, we are unable to accept assignments via e-mail.
