About Me

Dr. Williams is a Professor of Psychological Health. Dr. Williams received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Florida State University in 2005, and completed an internship and a National Institute of Aging-funded postdoctoral fellowship at Duke University Medical Center. Dr. Williams joins to School of Veterinary Medicine after 14 years in the Department of Psychological Sciences at Texas Tech University.

Instruction

Dr. Williams will teach veterinary students about psychological health, and how to manage stressors, anxiety, and difficult situations.

Research

Dr. Williams has conducted research on depression and suicide throughout her career.

Service

Dr. Williams serves as the Chair of the TTU Institutional Review Board. She also serves on the Research Grants Committee for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. She has served on the board of the American Association of Suicidology. Dr. Williams has regularly served on TTU campus committees related to compliance and other university concerns.
