About Me

Nichole Anderson is an Assistant Professor of Animal Behavior and Welfare at Texas Tech University. She completed her master's degree from North Dakota State University in lameness in dairy cattle then went on to receive a Ph.D. at Purdue University in sow-piglet communication.

Instruction

Nichole's teaching focuses on all parts of animal behavior and welfare.

Research

Her research focuses on the use of enrichment to improve livestock production and early life stress on welfare.

Service

Nichole currently serves on the regional American Society of Animal Sciences animal welfare committee and journal editor for the North American Colleges and Teachers of Agriculture. She is also a PAACO certified Swine Welfare Auditor. Nichole is also a member of many regional, national, and international associations including the International Society of Applied Ethology.
