About Me
Dr. Sarah Wagner was in mixed animal practice in rural Virginia for 5 years after completing her DVM at Michigan State University. She earned her PhD in Physiology (Pharmacology) from Iowa State University and served on the faculty in the Department of Animal Sciences at North Dakota State University. She is a diplomate and past president of the American College of Veterinary Clinical Pharmacology. She has also served on the Animal Agriculture Liaison Committee of the American Veterinary Medical Association and as the Chair of the Lameness Committee for the American Association of Bovine Practitioners. She is an experienced teacher of veterinary pharmacology and topics related to livestock. Her research is focused on drug therapy in livestock species, especially in the prevention and treatment lameness in cattle, and on other issues that affect the welfare of livestock.
