About Me

Trista Mills is an Assistant Professor of General Practice at Texas Tech University School of Veterinary Medicine. Trista grew up in Indiana working as a general hand/rider for local horse farms. At 18 she moved to Phoenix, Arizona, where she continued to work with horses as a veterinary assistant at Arizona Equine, a surgical and medical center for horses. After completing a degree in conservation biology, Trista was accepted to veterinary school at Kansas State University. While there, she also completed a Master's in Business putting emphasis on human resources and organizational behavior. Following graduation, Trista became an associate at Carlsbad Animal Clinic in Carlsbad, New Mexico providing rural veterinary medical care to the areas dogs, cats, and exotic animals (reptiles, avian, and pocket pets).

Instruction

Trista's focus in in clinical and professional skills with a focus on small animal rural medicine. Particularly – well visits, medicine, soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, and behavior.
