About Me

Lisa is originally from western North Carolina. She attended the University of Georgia for undergraduate and veterinary school, graduating with her DVM in 2006. She completed her combined residency training in anesthesia and Master of Science from The Ohio State University in 2011. She became certified in veterinary acupuncture in 2011 and became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Anesthesia and Analgesia in 2013. She has been teaching veterinary students for over a decade. She currently resides in East Tennessee with her family and has taken a part time position at Texas Tech University to continue to pursue her love of educating the next generation of veterinary students.

Director-at-Large on the North American Veterinary Anesthesia Society (NAVAS) Board of Directors since January 2024. Lisa is also involved in access to veterinary care opportunities in her community, such as high-quality spay and neuter services and Rabies vaccination.
