About Me

Martina is a Veterinarian from Italy. She grew up in Sardinia and graduated in 2017 from the University of Sassari. After an internship in general practice at Weems and Stephens Equine Hospital in Aubrey, Texas, she moved to Saskatoon, Canada, where she completed a specialized internship in Large Animal Internal Medicine at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine. After her internship she moved from Saskatchewan to Alberta where she worked for Nagel & Co Veterinary Services, a mixed animal practice close to Calgary. In January 2022 she moved to Weatherford, Texas and she worked for Banfield Pet Hospital, I-20 Animal Hospital and Equine Sports Medicine & Surgery before joining the Texas Tech faculty team as Assistant Professor of Practice.

Instruction

Martina enjoys different aspects of large animal and small animal Internal Medicine, such as endocrinology and cardiology, and she has a particular interest in pharmacology and drug usage in companion and large animals.

Service

She enjoys volunteering at the local shelter to perform routine surgeries.
