Distributed Veterinary Learning Community
The distributed veterinary learning community, or DVLC, is a network of partnering sites providing clinical and professional experiences for students throughout the school's 4-year program. These partners include producers, feedyards, dairies, local shelters, animal health industries, and veterinary hospitals. The distributed veterinary teaching hospitals, or DVTH, are our veterinary practice partners who are an educational extension to our final clinical year. Both the DVLC and embedded DVTH are the functional branches of the curriculum that make the veterinary educational model at TTU-SVM; practical, comprehensive, and efficient. There are only a handful of veterinary schools across the world with the same model.
