Media Training Workshop with Mark Daniel Snyder
Spokesperson and media engagement education for effective storytelling

As a student leader, are you prepared to respond to media inquiries when the unexpected happens? Unfortunately, it happens more often that one might expect and usually at the most inconvenient times. This workshop is for student leaders who want to be prepared when the phone rings or journalist writes asking for a quote.

This workshop will give you as a student leader the necessary tools to hone your message and strengthen your confidence should the need ever come your way.

You do not have to be registered for the entire Gender and Gender Identity Colloquium to attend this Media Training Workshop, although you are invited to spend the day with us.

Keynote Speaker

Mark Snyder is the director of communications at Equality Federation, a national LGBTQ organization that builds power among state-based equality organizations. Mark identifies as gender non-binary and uses they pronouns. They hold over 15 years of activism and communications experience. In previous organizations including Transgender Law Center, Mark worked to shape the national narrative around LGBTQ families and children of LGBTQ parents, and transgender equality. Mark believes that our stories can be harnessed to create a nation free from discrimination and looks forward to sharing their own story and expertise with you!
