Students can now explore their online and distance degree options with a cleaner, balanced user interface. The new eLearning program pages can help students find their perfect fit like never before.

Four eLearning & Academic Partnerships staff members recently visited Texas Tech’s new international campus in Costa Rica. In addition to seeing many new sights, they were able to experience first-hand Texas Tech’s commitment to the rest of the globe.

Recently the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce announced its annual list of Twenty Under Forty business leaders. Justin R Louder, associate vice provost for eLearning and Academic Partnerships, is included on this distinguished list. The initiative recognizes outstanding individuals under the age of 40 who exemplify leadership in their careers and actively participate in the community. Award winners will be honored at a banquet Nov. 13 at the MCM Elegante.

For nearly 20 years TTU K-12 has forged educational partnerships internationally. Now a collaboration is in place to
offer the American curriculum to students in Vietnam.

Over 100 sessions will be livestreamed, including the keynote and plenary sessions, featured sessions, research highlights sessions, select educations sessions, and key industry showcase sessions. Paywall Film Screening and Discussion
Thursday, Oct 25, 6 p.m. — Library Croslin Room
Texas Tech University Libraries will be hosting a screening of Paywall: The Business of Scholarship. Paywall is a documentary which focuses on the need for open access to research and science, questions the rationale behind the $25.2 billion a year that flows into for-profit academic publishers, examines the 35-40% profit margin associated with the top academic publisher Elsevier and looks at how that profit margin is often greater than some of the most profitable tech companies like Apple, Facebook and Google.
